SARGODHA - A case on Friday was registered on the order of the LHC against former MPA Aslam Mandhiana, father of sitting PPP MPA Owais Mandhiana, for torturing a 65-year-old teacher. During an open court of DPO Mohammad Rizwan, Nafees Khan Lodhi, the teacher, complained against the accused, blaming that Mandhiana was behind different crimes in the area.
After that Aslam Mandhiana, along with a dozen accomplices, kidnapped Lodhi and beat him up and crippled him.
They later threw him in a barren area. The police registered the case after a complaint by Lodhi in the LHC. Six of the accused were arrested. The sources said the federal government has decided to transfer the DPO to Gilgit-Baltistan for ‘providing justice’ to the teacher and to please the party’s MPA.
