PESHAWAR - Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said though political and religious parties have tasked a jirga to hold peace talks, the government is reluctant to take any decision in this regard.
“The government will have to come out of its indecisive position and start meaningful dialogue with militants, Fazl said, speaking at a ceremony in his party’s provincial secretariat on Ring Road. On the occasion, National Assembly member from Kohistan, Maulana Mehboobullah Jan, MPA Sajjadullah, former senator and MNA Alhaj Noorsher Afridi and Zafar Khan Afridi along-with their families announced joining JUI-F.
On receiving information regarding a bomb blast inside a mosque in Peshawar, the JUI-F chief shortened his speech. He strongly condemned the blast inside the mosque. He said JUI-F had initiated efforts for sustainable peace through a jirga.
