ISLAMABAD - The pilgrims who performed Haj under the government scheme will start retuning to the country from today when the first flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will land at Islamabad airport on Thursday night at 10:40 pm.
Similarly, another flight of PIA will reach Peshawar airport carrying 330 Hujaj on Thursday late night. An official of the Peshawar airport has informed that the pilgrims would suddenly be shifted to Haji Camp through buses after unloading them from the plane. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has requested the relatives of pilgrims to welcome them at the Haji Camp instead of airport due to security threats and bad condition of law and order in the city. However, Peshawar police have made necessary arrangements to provide the pilgrims tight security during their travelling in buses. They have established check posts on the routes leading to the airport and Haji Camp while the number of police personnel has been increased at the camp.
According to Ministry of Religious Affairs sources, each pilgrim is allowed to carry baggage up to 30-kg as well as 10-litre of Aab-e-Zam-Zam cane along with him while he would have to bear the fare for extra baggage.
