Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Wednesday visited the CMH to inquire on Malala Yousufzai’s condition who was injured in Taliban attack on Tuesday.

The army chief said the Taliban could go to any extent to follow their self-perceived ideology. He further said that the Taliban had no regard for human life and were following a twisted philosophy to justify their nefarious agenda.
Malala Yousafzai was shot on her school bus with two friends in the former Taliban stronghold of Swat on Tuesday, then flown to the main northwestern city of Peshawar to be admitted to a military hospital.
Malala won international recognition for highlighting Taliban atrocities in Swat with a blog at the website of British news channel, when the Islamist militants led by radical cleric Maulana Fazlullah burned girls’ schools and terrorised the valley.
