3 kids injured as bomb rocks Peshawar house

PESHAWAR - At least three children were injured when a remote control explosive device went off in Ganj area, the jurisdiction of Yakatoot police station, here on Sunday.
According to sources, the remote control device was planted by some unknown persons outside the house of one Saeed Khan. The blast resulted injuries to three children identified Sohail, Haris and Amina. 
The blast also damaged the main gate and boundary wall of the house. Soon after the incident, locals rushed toward the site and contributed in the rescue activities.
According to the police, owner of the damaged house, Saeed Khan, had some personal enmity and his enemy had planted the device in front of his house.
The police and bomb disposal squad cordoned off the area and collected the remnants of the explosive device.  According to the bomb disposal squad, the device was weighting about 250 gram and its main target was the house of Saeed Khan.
Meanwhile, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted near a hairdresser shop went off on Sunday night at Charbagh Road in tehsil Landi Kotal. However, there was no loss of life, official and local sources said. The sources said that last night at 8:15 pm, a bomb planted by militants outside a hairdresser shop in Khyber Agency’s tehsil Landi Kotal exploded with a big bang. They said the shop was partially damaged and its main crystal door and glasses were smashed. Luckily, there was no loss of human life as the bazaar was closed by that time, locals said.
Soon after the incident the administration officials reached the scene and collected evidence for investigation.
It merits mentioning here that militants have resumed activities in the area and it was the forth blast in Landi Kotal area during the last one month.
