Malik sounds security alert in several cities

ISLAMABAD - A high-level meeting held under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Rehman Malik here on Sunday reviewed the security situation in the country including Islamabad and progress on the recovery of missing persons in the light of the steps taken by the government.
Malik directed for increasing security in Karachi, Islamabad, DI Khan and Quetta in the light of possible attacks by the terrorists.  He praised the services being rendered by the law-enforcement agencies but said that they have been alerted in view of possibility of more terrorist attacks.  He said the Federal government would provide all possible support to the provinces to further improve law and order situation.
