Maj-Gen Hilal appointed Punjab Rangers DG

MABAD (INP) - Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday appointed Major-General Muhammad Hilal as new director general of the Punjab Rangers.
Major-Gen Hilal was performing his duties in Bahawalpur as General Officer Commanding (GOC). He has been appointed Rangers DG in place of martyred Major-Gen Anwar, who lost his life in a chopper crash on June 1 in river Indus near Layyah.
Sources said that Major-Gen Muhammad Hilal will soon assume charge of his new position.
On the other hand, Major-Gen Tariq Ghafoor has been appointed Bahawalpur GOC.
