KARACHI - President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of the prime minister on Sunday approved appointment of Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, district & sessions judge (BS-21), as judge, Accountability Court-1, Peshawar.
The summary initiated by the Law & Justice Division in this respect stated that the post had fallen vacant due to the retirement of its incumbent from the govt service on attaining the age of superannuation with effect from Dec 31, 2012. The chief justice of the Peshawar High Court had nominated a panel of three judges for posting one of them against the vacant post. The law & justice minister proposed and recommended to the prime minister that Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, district & sessions judge (BS-21) might be appointed as judge, Accountability Court-1, Peshawar, on deputation basis in his own pay and scale for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, from the date he joins the office.
Accordingly, acting on the advice of the prime minister, the president approved the said appointment.
