SIALKOT - Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has said that some elements are trying to sabotage the fast approaching general elections for their personal gains. He said that despite series of conspiracies the elections would be held on schedule time.

He was addressing a condolence reference held to pay tribute to Bashir Ahmad Bilour held at sialkot Press club (SPC) on Sunday. Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said that the Awami National Party (ANP) was struggling for brining peace and prosperity in the country. The Railways minister claimed that his party was the production of independence of Pakistan and had always pleaded the cause of Pakistan, adding that this struggle would continue with renewed vigour and commitment.
He said that Shahadat Bashir Ahmad Bilour was widely condoled across the country and after this sad incident the Taliban had offered dialogues, adding that the ANP loved Pakistan and for the sake of peace would extend positive response. The minister stated there were many big leaders and political parties in the country but the ANP was the only political that struggled for the democracy. We initiated anti-Bhutto movement but avoid becoming stooge of Zia regime because we love democracy,” he pointed out.
Bilour reaffirmed his party’s stance that they were fighting against terrorism with the support of the whole nation and such elements who were attempting to convert Pakistan into a graveyard would face humiliation.
Other leaders of the ANP also spoke on the occasion and paid rich tribute to Bashir Ahmad Bilour. They urged upon the government to name Shaheed Bashir Ahmad Bilour for noble prize.
