QUETTA - At least four people, including a woman were killed and five others were injured in separate incidents of firing in different cities of Balochistan, on Sunday while a check post of security personnel was attacked in Panjgour.
As a result, two people of first group identified as Abdul Bari and Dost Ali were killed and another person namely Allah Noor was injured while three others from second group identified as Sadu Khan and his two sons were wounded.
Following the incident, local law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the dead and injured to a hospital. "The incident took place over a dispute on a piece of land", sources said.
In another incident, two people, including a woman were killed in Panjgour district, near Iran border. Levies Force sources said that unknown dacoits barged into a house in Panjgour and killed Nawab and his sister. The bandits fled from the scene after committing the crime.
Separately, unidentified armed men attacked a check post of security forces located near Rakshan nullah with rockets and sophisticated weapons in Panjgour district. However, no loss of life was reported in the attack.
Following the incident, law-enforcement agencies started a search action in the area to trace out the culprits.
Meanwhile, a person identified as Jamil Ahmed received serious injuries when armed men opened fire on him at Jail Road in Quetta.
He was moved to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical aid.
