103 parties asked to hold intra-party elections

ISLAMABAD - The electoral body on Tuesday asked 103 political parties to hold intra-party polls including PTI, PML-Q and PAT.

The Election Commission also asked 61 political parties to submit assets’ declarations with the Election Commission. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Q, and Pakistan Awami Party are among the political parties, which have not conducted the intra-party polls. The electoral body also held a meeting to review arrangements during general polls for over one million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). Later, DG Elections Syed Sher Afgan briefed media on the meeting. The ECP would hold a meeting with the officials of State Bank of Pakistan and Federal Board of Revenue today.
