China urges Pak-India dialogue to resolve disputes

BEIJING
China has urged Pakistan and India to resolve their disputes peacefully through dialogue. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei during a media briefing in Beijing said "Both India and Pakistan are important countries in South Asia. The relations between them are important to peace, stability and prosperity of South Asia."
He said as a neighbour and friend of both Pakistan and India, China sincerely hopes that the two countries can properly and calmly resolve their disputes through dialogue and consultation so as to maintain peace and stability in South Asia.
