Kausar vows to bring responsible to book

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has strongly condemned the gruesome killing of jawans of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Department of Prisons during their training activities in Lahore on Thursday.

He described the incident a highly shocking and inhuman act of terrorism. In his condolence message, the governor expressed his deep sympathies with members of the bereaved families and said that elements involved in the heinous crime would be brought to justice.
“I will be personally in contact with the respective authorities and would ensure that the persons involved would no more remain at large and are brought to court of law at the earliest,” he said.
He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with patience.
Meanwhile, Awami National Party, President, Asfandyar Wali Khan and the party provincial President Senator Afrasiab Khattak strongly condemned the Achra incident in Lahore, in which nine persons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prison Department were killed.
In a press release issued from Bacha Khan Markaz here on Thursday, they expressed severe regret and sympathies with the martyred’s families. They said that those who were sabotaging the peace of the country could not become the well wishers of Pakistan and soon such elements would be brought to book. They also demanded of the Punjab government to arrest the responsible persons and award them strict punishment.
They also appealed to the masses to demonstrate patience and keep vigilant watch over the miscreant elements. They added that the sacrifices of these personnel would not go in vain and these sacrifices will definitely bring fruit. 
They maintained that terrorist elements through such mean tactics could not deter the firm resolve of the government in the war against terrorism.
They also prayed for the departed soul of the martyred persons and for speedy recovery of the injured.
