NAB urged to curb uplift funds embezzlement

PESHAWAR – Chamkani Union Parachanar (CUP) President Thursday demanded of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman to take stern action against the alleged embezzlements of the developmental funds, warning that otherwise they would hold protests.

Speaking at a news conference, CUP President Rafiullah said that the people of Parachanar were deprived of their rights. He said that on the one hand the law and order situation in Kurram Agency was deteriorating, while on the other hand billions of rupees were being shown to be spent on developmental projects whereas no developmental project in real sense was initiated yet. Flanked by union General Secretary Yahya Khan and senior vice president Imran Chamkani, he said that restless among locals were being spread, as the foreign donor agencies were released billions of rupees for the uplift and developmental of Fata but the developmental projects were remain upto paper work, he blamed.
