SCCI signs MoU with RCCI for business community’s welfare

PESHAWAR – Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Thursday singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work out for the betterment of the business community.

The MoU was signed between both the chambers in a ceremony held at Nathia Gali, which aims to boost up mutual relations, sharing common information, extending cooperation in industrial and commercial sectors and work out for the betterment of business community.
SCCI, president, Afan Aziz and RCCI, President, Javed Akhtar Bhatti signed on the agreement.
On the occasion, the leader of Businessmen Forum, Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, SCCI, Vice President, Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, Chairman All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, Mohsin Aziz and SCCI executive body members were present.
The leaders of RCCI, including Najamul Haq Malik, Vice President Chaudhry Iqbal Ahmad, Chairman All Pakistan Flour Mills Association, Malik Iftikhar Ahmad Awan, industrialists and businessmen were also present on the occasion.
Addressing on the occasion, SCCI, President Afan Aziz highlighted the importance and basic objective of Memorandum of Understanding between the two chambers. He said that both chambers would share information regarding steps taken by the government for better interests of the business community.
SCCI chief further said that the chamber is presenting all business community of the province. He expressed a hope that the MoU would be helpful to bring business community together to address their common interests issues. He maintained that the agreement would also prove to enhance mutual cooperation between the two chambers, and would also take benefits from each other experiences.
After signing the mutual agreement, he said that the government budget proposals, trade policy along with monetary initiatives would equally present at the both chambers.
Senator Ilyas Bilour, who also served as president of Rawalpidi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, termed the agreement was a good initiative between the chambers. He added that both chambers would take equally benefits from the step.
The RCCI, President Javed Akhtar Bhatti, while speaking on the occasion, said the signing a memorandum of understanding with SCCI as a great milestone achievement of his chamber, saying that the Rawalpindi Chamber would extend cooperation to Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the field of Research and Development, and International Fair.
Javed Akhtar said that the RCCI would also play its role to give proper representation in the centre. He added that SCCI representatives would include in foreign delegations, adding that both the chambers would jointly workout for betterment of business community and resolution of their common issues.
