ISLAMABAD - Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has unleashed serious allegations against President Asif Ali Zardari stating that the man sitting on the hill top was using the public money to campaign for the next elections and is using ‘fake’ journalists for the purpose.

“I have proof with me. The people who were affected came to me with the proof. I don’t want to name anyone. It includes people from the media, some from agencies as well - the agencies which capture thieves,” Nisar told the media outside Parliament House on Wednesday.
“All I want to say is, that there is a cell in the President House which, under the supervision of Asif Ali Zardari, is siphoning off the money of the people of Pakistan. One particular agency is being used. The money will go into a revolving fund which will be used to campaign in the next elections,” he alleged.
Chaudhry Nisar also claimed that Zardari was siphoning off money with the help of some people who are posing as journalists, and billions of rupees are involved in this.
“I am openly challenging Zardari to take me to court,” Nisar said and called for an independent audit of the advertisements being run for several government institutions.
Nisar clarified that in his earlier Press talk he did not talk of misuse of secret funds in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting nor he had levelled any allegation against any official in the Presidency.
He said he held the President directly responsible for benefiting a particular group.
He said a department was released Rs 100 million advertisement budget and only Rs 10 million were spent for advertisement while the rest were distributed among a particular group of people.
He further said that he was not blaming all the journalists but pointed out that some TV anchors were getting Rs 2 million to Rs 3 million salary.
He also blamed that recruitments in PTV were also being manipulated.
Answering a question, he said at his initiative, COAS agreed to investigate three retired Army Generals for their involvement in the NLC scam. Now, it has been decided to Court Martial them, he said.
He ,however, asserted that finally the case of these Generals would once again come before the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly.
