SWABI - Two persons including a station house officer (SHO) and a militant were killed in a gunbattle erukpted after unknown gunmen attacked a police van here.

According to details, unknown armed men sprayed bullets at a mobile van of Chhota Lahore police station while it was on a routine patrol in its jurisdiction.
As a result of the attack, the SHO was injured while a militant was killed. Other attackers managed to flee.
The injured police official was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
Meanwhile, a person was killed and 19 others injured when a blast hit a bus in Kurram Agency on Sunday. According to security officials, the bus was targeted with a remote-controlled device. The dead body and injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Security forces reached at the at the blast site and cordoned off the area and have launched a manhunt for the attackers.
In another terror incident, a man was killed and several others were wounded in a blast at Bazar Zakah Khel area of Khyber Agency. Officials said the bomb was planted on a roadside, however the target of blast was yet be known.
