SWAT – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and a prominent politician of Swat Afzal Khan Damghar was shot dead by unidentified armed persons on Wednesday morning.
Afzal Khan, who was also the owner of Swat Continental Hotel, left his home for his hotel situated at Makan Bagh, Mingora, when some unidentified persons, hidden nearby, opened indiscriminate fire on his vehicle. He received three bullets in his head. Local people immediately took him to Saidu Sharif Hospital, however there he succumbed to his injuries.
After the incident, the police started a search operation to catch the persons involved. The news of Afzal Khan Damghar’s killing spread like a jungle fire in the area.
