PESHAWAR – At least eight students were injured when roof of a classroom of Government High School, Akbar Pora, collapsed on Tuesday.According to school teachers, the school building was several years old and was in dilapidated condition. As a result of the tragic incident eight students of the class-6 got seriously injured. The local rescue team and teachers retrieved the injured students and shifted them to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. Those who were injured in the incident were identified as Hameed Raza, son of Noor Ilahi, Syed Nawab, son of Abdul Ghafoor, Usman, son of Jaffar, Asad, son of Isamail, Shah Sawar, son of Farmanullah, Rizwanullah, son of Faqeer Hussain, Shehzad, son of Bakhtaj and Anees, son of Ibrahim.After the incident team of education department, which was led by KPK Minister for Schools and Literacy Sardar Hussain Babak rushed to the site and expressed deep concern on the tragic incident. He also constituted a team to prepare detail report on this tragic incident and also to pen point the exact position of the school.
