BAHAWALPUR - PPP Bahawalpur Chapter Secretary Information Saleem Bhatti has said that the general elections will be held on its constitutional time and the PPP will win the coming elections again with majority.

Addressing the delegation of the party workers at his residence, he said that those claiming popularity and demanding early elections should wait for general elections to make clear their parties’ position.
He said that Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif had harmed the federation by indulging in the politics of provincialism. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was staging a drama on the power crisis, he added. He said the PPP-led government tried its best to resolve the Balochistan issue but Nawaz Sharif left alone the issue. He said that Nawaz Sharif made an agreement with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in the name of ‘Charter of Democracy’ (COD) that he would discourage “lotacracy” (turncoats) in the country but PML-N leadership promoted the culture of turncoats. “The PML-N has become a party of a city and it was suffering from political isolation” he added.
He said that the PPP had always respected the judiciary and its verdicts adding that the PPP had also made sacrifices for restoration of judiciary. On the other hand PML-N attacked the Supreme Court building when Nawaz Sharif was summoned by the court, he added.
Saleem Bhatti said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto sacrificed his life for democracy and rights of people adding that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had also given her life for the mission of ZAB but they did not compromise on principles. “The PPP-led government is providing all facilities to masses to rise their living standard adding that the government will continue to serve the people for the prosperity and progress of the country” he added.  Advocate Malik Shafqat Mehmood, Advocate Rao Tariq Mehmood, Javed Raza Raymond also spoke on the occasion.
