Water shortage hit Thal residents

NOOR PUR THAL - Various areas of the city included Mohallah Mustafabad Lal Colony, Mohallah Bagianwala and Dhaka Colony have been hit hard by water shortage, creating inconvenience and problems for the residents.

Expressing outrage over the water shortage, residents of the areas complained that low water pressure and water suspension for the last many days had added to their miseries.
They threatened to take to roads if the TMA did not address their problems.
Writers pay tribute to late writer: The Thal Writers Club in collaboration with the Saraiki Sangat arranged a seminar to mark the centennial commemorations of prolife writer/poet Malik Haji Ahmad Sathar here the other day.
The seminar was held at Malik Karam Bakhsh Memorial Hall.
The function was presided over by Advocate Malik Haji Sajjad Hussain. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Haji Ahmad’s life was very hard due to which he wrote very boldly. He wrote several books on different topics, Sasi Punoon Heer Ranjah had his most famous writings, he added.
Dr Malik Rifaqat Hussain Wattoo, Malik Aurangzeb Karloo, Zafar Hussain Sithar, Muhammad Iqbal Pahor and Dr Sajjdha Tabbasum spoke on the occasion.
