KHYBER AGENCY - AHMAD NABI - Five persons were killed and four others got injured when a stray mortar shell landed at a house in Aka Khel area of tehsil Bara, subdivision of Khyber Agency, on Wednesday night. Sources said a mortar shell fired by unknown militants from unknown destination hit the house of a tribesman Said Kareem. Resultantly, his widow, daughter-in-law, wife of late Abdurrahman and his two grandsons identified as Hamza, 7, and Shah Faisal, 5, were killed on the spot. Two sisters, one daughter in law and granddaughter of Said received serious wounds and were shifted to Peshawar hospital for treatment, sources said.The house was also demolished in the incident, sources said. The father of the two deceased children had passed away a year ago and were studying in class first (Hamza) and nursery (Shah Faisal) in one of a private schools in the area,their family sources said.The effected family head, Said Kareem regretted over the negligence of the political administration and hospital staff and said that no special treatment was provided to them.” No one has so far visited them to inquire their condition and the hospital staff as usual deals then carelessly,” he lamented.
