Attack on Awami Party workers condemned

LAHORE - The Awami Party Pakistan has condemned an attack on their party workers in Layyah and demanded the arrest of all accused.

In a press release, party president Fanos Gujjar, Senior VP Dr Hassan Nasir and secretary general Prof Jamil Umer condemned the attack that wounded four party men seriously.
According to the statement, the workers came under the attack on the occasion of “Baysakhey Meela” organised by Awami Party Pakistan in collaboration with local social and cultural organisation with the permission of DCO.
Two of serious wounded workers have been shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan where the condition of one is critical.
The party leaders demanded the authorities concerned arrest all the 12 accused named in the FIR registered with the Layyah city police.
