Eight die in truck-van collision near DG Khan

At least eight people were killed and five others were injured on Friday in a road accident at Dera Ghazi Khan city of Punjab.

Police and rescue teams said the incident took place near Kot Chatta area where a truck collided with a passenger van on the Indus Highway apparently due to overspending.
Eight passengers died in the mishap while five were critical injured. They were shifted to district headquarters hospital of D.G Khan.
About cause of in incident, police said the truck driver lost control over the heavy vehicle while taking a sharp turn on the highway. Further investigations into the incident have been started.
