Pakistan Navy’s conference held

ISLAMABAD - Command and Staff Conference was held at the Naval Headquarters (NHQ), Pakistan Navy said in a statement.   Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila chaired the conference, while all principal staff officers (PSO) at NHQ and field commands also participated. 
Issues pertaining to security situation, operational preparedness, significant ongoing projects, future plans of Pakistan Navy and rendering of relief support in rain-hit areas were discussed.
The Naval Chief expressed satisfaction over navy's operational preparedness in the wake of prevalent maritime challenges at regional and international arena. While taking stock of the development projects, Sandila stressed upon the need for prioritising and pacing up the progress particularly on enhancing combat efficiency of the Pakistan Navy, and the projects related to Makran Coast for welfare and uplift of Balochs, including the project of Junior Naval Academy at Ormara. He also directed the concerned authorities to continue monitoring the activities in rain-affected areas especially along the Makran coast and gear up the resources for prompt relief support, if so required.
