Ex-minister’s house raided

QUETTA - Police backed by other law-enforcement agencies raided the house of former Provincial Minister for Communications Ali Madad Jattak seizing weapons and arresting six persons, on Tuesday.

ASP Sariab Muhammad Bashir Memon told the media that the brother of former Minister Ali Madad Jattak was wanted in murder case and police carried out a raid for his arrest. “Police recovered Kalashnikovs and three vehicles,” he said.
, adding, that police was scrutinising the legality of weapons and vehicles and they would be returned if they were having licences. Police also arrested six persons during raid who were being investigated.
Ali Madad Jattak told media persons that he had Kalashnikovs which were registered in his name and his all vehicles were legal.  He said that on the directives of Chief Secretary, the police raided his residence. “I contacted the Governor of Balochistan and Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani in this regard,” he added. He went on to state that he was being victimised after imposition of Governor’s rule in Balochistan.
However, the Governor of Balochistan Nawab Aulfiqar Ali Magsi has said in a statement that no action was taken against any former Minister.
