Six passengers were crushed to death and another 17 injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus on Monday. Police said the incident took place when a speedy truck rammed into the bus near the Phoolnagar by-pass, killing six passengers and wounding another 17.
The Rescue 1122 teams, backed by the local police and residents, retrieved the bodies and injured from the wrecked bus. The deceased and wounded were shifted to the Kasur district headquarters hospital. The death toll may increase as, according to sources in hospital, five injured were in critical condition.
