LAHORE - Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Muhammad Habibur Rehman, District Police Bahawalpur handed over the most-wanted criminal Azizullah Janwari to Sindh police for further interrogation. The Bahawalpur police, during a successful operation, arrested the most-wanted criminal Azizullah Janwari, involved in firing at the public meeting of MPA Nafeesa in Khairpur area of Sindh province. The accused, Janwari, had killed six persons and wounded 13 others by resorting to indiscriminate fire at the public meeting of MPA Nafeesa Shah a few days ago. The accused was wanted to the Sindh police in several cases including a case registered against him under section (320/324/148/149/7ATA) in Khairpur. In view of the reports about presence of the accused in the Punjab, IGP Habibur Rehman constituted a police team led by DPO Bahawalpur Sohail Habib Tajik. The police team arrested Janwari on Sunday night during an operation in the district and handed over him to DPO Khairpur on Monday afternoon.Talking to media, SSP Khairpur Irfan Baloch said that Janwari along with his accomplices had fled to Bahawalpur after attacking the rally of the PPP MNA. He said two accomplices of Janwari were immediately arrested while on a tip off a police party of Khairpur raided the hideout of Janwari in Bahawalpur and arrested him alive.
