Speaking at a news conference here at the Press Club, PTI leader from Khyber agency, Iqbal Afridi, and PTI district Peshawar President, Yaseen Khalil strongly criticized the ANP leadership for failing to take concrete steps for the establishment of sustainable peace in the region. They added that now on the completion of its five-year rule the ‘so-called champions’ of Pakhtuns’ rights are trying to mislead the masses with empty claims, but they will not succeed in this adventurism.
They further said that the declaration of the ANP-sponsored APC would not yield positive steps, as similar steps were earlier taken in the past in shape of resolutions adopted on the same issue by the parliament, but it has yet to be implemented.
On the occasion, a Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) activist and former APA, tehsil Bara Khyber Agency, Shah Hussain Afridi along with relatives and other family members announced to join the Imran Khan-led PTI caravan. While speaking on the occasion, Afridi said that he has taken the decision after the poor performance of the incumbent rulers during their five years in government. He further said that the country needs an honest and dedicated leadership to steer the country out of the existing crisis.
He also said that the incumbent government was completely failed to ease the miseries of masses. He said that the PTI is only hope for 180 million people, who want real change through democratic process in the country.
Besides, Iqbal Afridi said that the country is facing numerous internal and external challenges due to wrong policies of the incumbent rulers.
The situation was getting from bad to worse on each passing day, he added. He said that the holding of free and fair elections is only solution to the issues.
Welcoming Shah Hussain’s joining PTI, he said that the activists of different political parties are joining their due to the poor performance of the incumbent rulers. He said that the party will get strengthened after the joining of stalwarts from different political parties.
