QUETTA – Unidentified armed men abducted a doctor from Sariab locality of Quetta on Tuesday night.
According to police, Dr Saeed Khan, an eye specialist at LRBT hospital was abducted from Chaki Shahwani area located in the precincts of Sariab police station by armed men.
“The car and mobile phone of Dr Khan were found abandoned near Chaki Shahwani” a police official said, adding that he might have been kidnapped when he was heading towards home.
Police have registered a case and started investigation into the abduction. The law and order situation seems to be out of control by the law enforcement agencies as several cases of abduction have been reported in Quetta and various other parts of Balochistan. Balochistan in general and Quetta in particular has become a den of criminal gangs who are involved in target killings and other acts of subversion.
