BAHAWALPUR - The admissions in under-graduate and postgraduate classes in different discipline in both the morning and evening sessions opened and entry test will be held on Sept 15 at IUB. The interested candidates for admission in any subject at IUB can avail the facility of the on-line admissions. The faculty of arts will provide admissions in Economics, English, International Relations, Library and Information Science, Media Studies, Political Science, while the faculty of education will provide admissions in Applied Psychology, Education, Education Training, Sports Science and Social Work. The Islamic Learning Faculty will provide admission in Arabic, Islamiyat, History, Law, Pakistan Studies and Persian while the Faculty of Management Science will provide admission in Commerce, Computer Science and Information Technology and Management Sciences.Similarly, the Pharmacy Faculty will provide admissions in Pharmacy, Homeopathy and Eastern Medicines.  The Faculty of Science will provide admission in Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Geography, Life Science, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics.The IUB Sub-Campus Bahawalnagar is currently providing admission in 10 subjects while admissions at Sub-Campus Rahim Yar Khan will offer admission in eight. Sports contests: The cooking and dressing competitions, Naat Khawani, Qirat, declamation and national songs contests were commenced here at UC level under the Punjab Youth Festival 2012 the other day. A source from DCO office told that sports competitions at union council level would continue till September 18. In addition, the Social Welfare and Population Welfare departments will also arrange competitions of healthy children. The sources informed that the spectrum of the activities were widened to have involvement of more youngsters and public in second stage and develop a sense of understanding towards better health and the need of sports and exercise in the daily life.
