Efforts on to protect Fata kids from polio

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has said that despite confronting a situation of multifarious problems in Fata, all available means are being utilised to protect children from polio. 

Talking to the visiting delegation of the organization which called on him at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Sunday under the leadership of an Advisor to the DG of the organization, Hussein A Gezairy; who is also a former health minister of Saudi Arabia, the governor said, the untoward situation prevailed in the region has also been a constant hurdle in reaching the children to vaccinate them. Secretary Social Sector, Dr Aftab Akbar Durrani briefed the guests about the salient features of the achievements in polio eradication campaign while the Secretary to Governor, M Abid Majeed was also present on this occasion.
Talking on various points, the governor said terrorism also was one of the components of the problems and to tackle the situation, the government is also applying all the options to promote amicable situation for the polio teams to fulfill their responsibilities.
