ISLAMABAD - A Foreign Office spokesman here on Sunday said it had been clearly established that the proliferation activity was an individual act, and did not carry authorisation of any Pakistani government, at any stage. In a response to a question regarding comments made by Dr AQ Khan in a newspaper regarding transfer of nuclear technology, the spokesman said that the matter had been thoroughly investigated in the year 2003-04. The spokesman further said that the so-called Dr AQ Khan affair was a closed chapter. Pakistan has taken all necessary measures in support of nuclear non-proliferation and extended full cooperation to the international community, he added.
