PM wants to cling to office till 2013: Nisar

RAWALPINDI - The Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and PML-N stalwart Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said that that his party was not against the creation of new provinces just as administrative units but was against any province being created on linguistic basis.‘President Asif Ali Zardari has been hiding in a ‘bunker’ of Aiwan-e-Sadr for last four years just closing his eyes towards the miseries of problems confronting the poor masses. Now he and his cronies were trying to exploit the name of Seraiki province merely to hide their failures of four years in power’, he added.Chaudhry Nisar stated this at a Press conference after holding a meeting with City administration at Punjab House. He was flanked by PML-N MNAs Hanif Abbasi, Malik Abrar Ahmed, Malik Shakeel Awan, MPAs Raja Hanif advocate, Ziaullah Shah, Chaudhry Ayaz, Malik Ghulam Raza and PML-N city President Sardar Nasim. He further said that PML-N was not against creation of any new province just as administrative units but would oppose tooth and nail ant attempt for any new province on linguistic basis. Coming hard on President Asif Ali Zardari and his aides, Nisar said that they did nothing for masses in four years and now trying to cover their failures by making a new Seraiki province just to beg for votes in Punjab. He blamed Zardari for all bad things happening to the country. He said that PPP led ruling alliance would not hold general elections to fulfil their promise made by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and his other senior Cabinet Ministers three months ago.‘I think PM Gilani will cling to Prime Minister’s office even on February 18, 2013 till 12am and will not announce general elections in the country’, he said ,adding, that PPP completely failed to resolve public problems in four years. He said that the PPP camp was full with corrupt Ministers against whom Supreme Court also laid down verdicts for strict action for plundering national kitty. Commenting on the resolution passed by the Parliament for restoring NATO supply line, Nisar said that ‘the point scoring and political stunts are the habits of those who have not any representation in the Parliament. PML-N had not allowed the government to draft the policy and legislation against the larger interests of the country or in favour of foreign countries’.‘We have removed all the points against the country in the recent resolution of the Parliament. Those who criticised PML-N for supporting Parliament’s resolution are actually living in fools paradise’, he said.Sharing the details with a meeting he held with City administration, Nisar said that he asked the City traffic police and public elected representatives to solve the traffic problems on Murree Road. He said that a comprehensive fogging campaign would be launched to eliminate dengue virus from Rawalpindi.Responding to a query, Nisar said that PML-N is holding meetings with members of all the political parties including PML (like minded) and PML (functional) who wanted to join PML-N in coming days.‘You will see that a number of stalwarts of many political parties even MPAs and MNAs of PPP from Sindh will be the part of N-league soon’, he said.‘Yes, the doors of PML-N are open for every one’, said Nisar when a senior journalist asked whether N-league is ready to accept two big pillars of Rawalpindi politics Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and Ejaz-ul-Haq.
