Indian shelling injures seven in Sialkot

SIALKOT - India once again on Friday morning resorted to unprovoked firing at Chaprar Sector on the Working Boundary between Pakistan and India near Sialkot, injuring a man, raising the number of wounded to seven since Thursday.

Earlier, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) had targeted Pakistan’s security post in Chaprar with unprovoked and uncalled for gunfire on Thursday night that injured six persons, including four women of the same family, at Sarakpur village.
The Chenab Rangers resorted to retaliatory action, which triggered a gunbattle which continued for more than an hour, spurring panic among the locals. Friday’s malicious shelling by the BSF injured a man Waris, resident of border area of Banot. All the injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital.
