Justice Siddiqui takes oath as permanent IHC judge

ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman on Thursday administered oath to Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui as a permanent judge of the IHC.

The ceremony held at IHC Building was attended by the Judges, office bearers of Islamabad High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association including senior officials of the court.
It may be mentioned here that President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approved the appointment of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui as a permanent judge of the IHC while Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi's term has been extended by six months.
The Supreme Court had asked the government on December 21 to issue a notification in this regard.
