Hajj scam: SC seeks Hussain Asghar’s dismissal

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry Wednesday said the prestige of the judiciary will not be compromised at any cost, adding defying the court orders has turned into the fashion and standard practice.

Heading a three-member bench hearing corruption case, the Chief Justice Chaudhry wondered as to why former investigation officer Hussain Asghar was not dismissed as yet from his office on jettisoning the court order, a private TV channel reported.
Deputy Attorney General told the court that an inquiry officer has been appointed for the departmental inquiry.
Reacting to this, the Chief Justice Chaudhry said however, the notification for Asghar’s dismissal should have been produced by now, adding there are more ministers involved in this scam.
The CJ ordered to issue the notification to sack Hussain Asghar from his current government job by tomorrow.
