Decision to be taken under national interests: Kausar

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Syed Masood Kausar said on Sunday that decision regarding restoration of Nato supplies would be made while keeping national interest supreme.

National interest is supreme to all, so decision about resumption of Nato supplies to Afghanistan via Pakistan would be made keeping the national interest up, he said this while talking to media person after inquiring health of those injured in Landi Kotal Khyber Agency, car bomb blast the other day. At least 27 people were killed and 56 others sustained injuries in the explosion.
He said that Pakistan could not live in isolation in the comity of nations, so, decision regarding the restoration of Nato supplies would be taken while keeping prosperity and interest of the country above all.
Lauding the role of tribesmen in the war on terror, the Governor said that Akakhel tribesmen had played a leading role against militancy and that’s why they were targeted. He maintained that in the last four years, many successes have been achieved against militancy. The government writ has been established in almost all areas of FATA, but there is still a problem in small packets.
KP Governor Barrister Masood Kausar while expressing deep sympathies with the injured of the car bomb blast in Landi Kotal assured that the government will ensure provision of best ever available treatment facilities to them and no effort will be spared to make their early recovery possible.
While enquiring after the health of the victims at Hayatabad Medical Complex here on Sunday, the Governor said, “this indeed was not a normal incident rather a very shocking and tragic act of terrorism which has grieved every sensible citizen.”
The Governor went to each and every injured; enquired after their health and presented gifts and token financial assistance on his own behalf to them. Senior officials of the Health sector including the management of the hospital were also present on this occasion.
Barrister Masood Kausar especially expressed his deep and heartfelt sympathies with children who have been become victim of the gory incident and gone through major surgeries and said, “Whatever kind of treatment facilities are available, they would definitely get that and I will personally make it ensured”.
Referring to the comments of the injured as well as their near and dear ones present on this occasion, the Governor also highly eulogized the selfless and devoted services of the medical staff and paramedics and said, we fully realize their hard work and sacrifices and acknowledge their spirit towards their professional responsibilities.
