BAHAWALPUR - Two notorious ‘criminals’ Ahsan, Jehangir fled from a Bukhshi Khan, a temporary lockup, of an anti-terrorism court.

They are residents of Rahim Yar Khan. They were involved in killing, dacoity and kidnapping cases. Earlier, they had been shifted from the New Central Jail of Bahawalpur to the temporary lockup where they cut its iron roads with cutter and managed to escape.
However, Bahawalpur DPO Ahmed Ishaq reached the spot and suspended five police officials including Sub-Inspector Faiz Ahmed, Constables Mohammad Mansha, Mehboob Iqbal, Mohammad Shabeer and Kaleem. He also sent them behind bars in the Civil Line Police Station after registering an FIR U/S 223,224,225 against them.
