Goldsmiths protest murder of their leader in Muridke

FEROZWALA - The Sarafa Association (gold smith, merchants) observed complete shutter down strike in Muridke and adjoining areas against deteriorated law and order situation on Sunday.According to details four armed dacoit barged into the Sarafa Association President Abdul Shakoor’s house in the early hours on Sunday. On resistance the criminals opened fire killing the president and injuring his son Saad critically. Later the culprits fled. The protestors said that the law enforcing agencies have left them at the mercy of criminals.MNA Rana Zahid Hussain’s younger brother was robbed a few days back and no action is taken. This is the third incident in the same police limits. The protestors demanded the arrest within seven day otherwise the association threatened to continue its protest.Electricity load shedding protest: PML(N) activists, officer bearers and citizens demonstrated in Sheikhupura, Nankana, Ferozwala, Muridke, Shah Kot, Sangla Hill and other areas of both district led by MNAs, MPAs against prolonged electricity load shedding.In Sheikhupura large number of PML (N) activist staged a sit in suspending the traffic for more then two hours. The protestors chanted slogans against the president and prime minister for their alleged corruption and hatching conspiracies against judiciary to conceal their black money.The PML(N) workers led by the local leaders in Kot Abdul Malik blocked the motor way near Faizpur interchange against outages later the motorway police restored the traffic.Two killed: Two rickshaw drivers were killed while two others sustained injuries over picking passengers out of turn in village Dhyan Kalan in the limit of Sadar Muridke police station.
