Grief persists at blast site

KHYBER AGENCY - On the second day of the deadly blast, the atmosphere of Landi Kotal remained full of grief and signs of sorrow could be witnessed on the faces of local tribesmen. Since Sunday morning the residences of blast victims were crowded and the dwellers of the areas were sympathized with heirs of the blast deceased.

Prior to it all the local victims of the last day blast were laid day to rest in their ancestor graveyards. Last day complete shutter down was observed in Landi kotal bazaar and shops and business markets were closed to condemn the heinous crime committed previous day.
However, the relief works was in progress on the blast site and the effected shopkeepers were busy to search and collect their valuables under the debris.
Meanwhile local leaders of political parties including JI, PTI, ANP and members of civil society flayed the last day blast that caused huge human lost. They criticized the political administration, which completely failed to provide security to the tribal. They also came hard on the representatives of the parliament from the constituency and said they were least bothered to mitigate the miseries of the locals, while they are enjoying a luxurious life in Islamabad.
They demanded parallel compensation for the victims as it has been granted to the settle areas sufferers.
It is also stated that with death of another wounded in Peshawar hospital, the death toll in the Landi kotal bazaar vehicle blast raised to 26.
