Malakand stronghold of PPP: Humayun

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Eng. Muhammad Humayun Khan has said that the people of Malakand by attending the public meeting of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at Mardan in large number, has once again proved that Malakand was the strongest fort of PPP.

In a press statement issued here Sunday, he has thanked the people of Mardan and its adjoining areas in general and of Malakand in particular who attended the public meeting at Mardan in large number in spite of hot weather adding that it was reflection of full confidence of the people over the people friendly policies of the government.
He said that the present government in spite of hatching conspiracies against the democratic system has succeeded in taking historical and practical steps for the wellbeing of the downtrodden people. He added, these steps would leave for reaching effects on the overall development of the country. They would continue service of the people with the same zeal and zest, he vowed.
Referring to the negative propaganda of opponents, he said that developmental works worth more than 6 billion rupees have been initiated, which was a record. He hoped that on completion of these schemes, the lot of the common man will be ameliorated and most of their grievances will be redressed, he concluded.
