KOT RADHA KISHAN - PML-N candidate for MPA slot Muhammad Anees Qureshi said that the Punjab government had presented a people-friendly budget which includes development projects.
He said that the salaries of MPAs had been reduced by 5 percent and a total of 80,000 new jobs in various departments promised in the budget besides a quota of 15 percent reserved for women in this regard.
He said that as many as 125,000 laptops would be given to students during the next fiscal year and Rs4 billion had been earmarked for this purpose.
He said 20,000 yellow cabs and as many green tractors would be provided to the masses and a subsidy of Rs27.5 billion had been earmarked to keep the fluctuating flour prices at a reasonable rate. He said that a total of 1,200 new buses would be plied on roads.
He further explained that Jinnah Abadi Scheme would continue in the next fiscal year and 115,000 deserving poor would be given free of cost plots.
He further stated that a welfare budget had been given for the new financial year while measures been taken for the provision of facilities to the poor.
He said that solid measures had been proposed for women’s development and provision of job opportunities to the youth.
He said that the projects like Aashiyana, educational fund, interest-free loan for unemployed youth and Daanish Schools will continue.
