NAWABSHAH – The Nuclear Medicine Oncology and Radiography Institute Nawabshah (NORIN) has started functioning and 100 to 150 patients are daily attending the hospital for diagnosis and treatment. The Institute was formally inaugurated by Chairman Defense Standing Committee MNA Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho on Saturday.
She said that health, agriculture and industrial sectors huge benefit through its technology.

Nawabshah Cancer hospital is the vital example where cancer patients are receiving treatment through latest medical facilities.
She said that the aim of Pakistan Peoples Party government is to serving the ailing humanity and cancer hospital is a step in this regard.
Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Dr Ansar Pervez said that Rs.
726 million consuming Nuclear Medicine Oncology and Radiography Institute has been constructed under the supervision of Atomic Energy Commission. He said that hospital has capacity of 64 beds, which is further extendable according to increasing needs. Located in the heart of Sindh province it is equipped with sophisticated medical implements of international standards. He said that cancer hospital would cater treatment facilities to over 9 million people of Sindh and Baluchistan. He said that since its inception cancer hospital has provided treatment facilities to above 10,000 patients.
Dr Ansar Pervez said that with the construction and functioning of
Nuclear Medicine Oncology and Radiology Institute Nawabshah (NORIN). The number of cancer hospitals in the country is fifteen. He said that in the country the numbers of cancer patients is more than 0.7 million and about 70,000 patients visit these hospitals daily.He said that internationally 8 million people are killed by this disastrous disease.
Earlier Director NORIN, Dr Siraj Ahmed Abbasi showed different departments of hospital to Dr Azra Fazal.
