ISLAMABAD - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that imposition of the governorrule in Balochistan is undemocratic and it is needed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to complete failure of the civil administration there. He also demanded immediate announcement of election schedule.
"The governorrule in Balochistan is undemocratic. If governor rule is imposed on the pretext of law and order, the situation in KPK and Karachi is worse than that of Balochistan. Slapping governor rule in Balochistan is tantamount to encouraging undemocratic steps", he said this while talking to media men outside parliament on Friday.  He went on to say that if governor rule is imposed on the basis of sit-in with dead bodies, people in KPK also did it but the provincial government drove them out by force. Civil administration has failed in KPK and the province is under military control, he added. Twenty people are being killed daily in Karachi therefore governor rule be slapped there as well, he said.
Citing to the internal situation of the country he said: "This is not Pakistan. It looks like a theater where people like Tahir ul Qadri become self-proclaimed Hussain (RA) but eventually ends up holding talks with Yazid and both leave Karbala happily.”
He observed that all the opposition parties shared harmony on the caretaker set up. “Government has been asked to constitute caretaker set up as it is the mandate of the federal government to initiate steps for dissolution of assemblies. Opposition parties had called upon the government to immediately announce election schedule,” he remarked. He alleged that long march was launched to postpone general elections.
"We are opposed to sectarianism as country cannot afford menace of sectarianism. We stand side by side with Hazaras or any other minority community, if they are subjected to sectarianism. But staging sit-in on the basis of sectarianism is not good even for Shias, he remarked.
Border situation of the country is alarming, he said. Recent statement by the Indian prime minister should be taken with all seriousness as our western borders are vulnerable, he stressed.
Responding to a question, he said ‘if MMA will be restored, it is a good thing. “JUI-F had fought the war on religious front alonein parliament for five years.
