Restitution to be paid before Jan 31: Magsi

QUETTA - Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on Friday assured a delegation of Hazara people, headed by Sardar Saadat Ali Hazara, that restitution money would be paid to the relatives of victims of Alamdar Road bombings before Jan 31. He told the delegation that law enforcement agencies had been directed to conduct targeted operation against the culprits and assured provision of security to Hazaras.
The delegation said after the imposition of governor rule the situation of the province,particularly in Quetta, had improved. The governor said the FIR lodged against Hazara people would be withdrawn and ‘effective strategy is being evolved to provide fool proof security to Shia pilgrims’. Expressing satisfaction over the measures put in place by the law enforcement agencies to maintain peace, Magsi said that situation had improved after the imposition of governor rule in the province. The governor announced that Rs20 million would be paid to families of each police official dies in the bombings.      –Reporter
