MIRP UR (AJK) - Polling in the entire electoral constituency LA-17 (Sudhanoti and Poonch - I) of AJK Legislative assembly was held on Monday in a free, fair and peaceful atmosphere, AJK Election Commission sources said. AJK Elections Commission had announced the scheduled for holding polling in the constituency LA-17 (Sudhanoti and Poonch - I) of AJK Legislative assembly on July 18 as the polling was postponed following reports of worsening law and order situation d during polling to AJK Legislative assembly elections in the constituency held on June 26. The AJK Election Commission sources told The Nation AJK scribe AH Rao Monday evening that the polling started at 8:00am and continued till 5:00pm without any pause. However, the voters present inside the premises of the polling stations after the stipulated allocated time for polling were also allowed to use their right of vote. Soon after the polling, the process of counting of the votes was under underway Monday evening in LA-17 when the last reports came in.
