ISLAMABAD - Opposition parties on Tuesday termed the Prime Minister's decision about implementing the NRO judgement of the Supreme Court as positive, but commented that country could have been saved from lots of chaos and confusion, had the government implemented the court order around three years ago. They further said all eyes are on the contents of ‘draft’ that would be presented in the Supreme Court on September 25th, as this draft should be appropriate not 'wastage of time of Supreme Court'."Political uncertainty and chaos like situation could have been avoided if this decision had been taken before," said PML-N spokesman Asim Khan Niazi, adding, that the sudden decision to write a letter is a big question mark as earlier PPP was not ready to go for this option."The draft would not be wastage of time now," he expected, adding, that PPP now should not go for time buying tactics."It is important now what they write in the letter and when it would be sent to concerned authorities," PML-N spokesman added. When contacted, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central leader Liaquat Baloch said that PPP was now left no other option but to write letter to Swiss authorities."PPP should have taken this decision before to avoid mess and confusion and confrontation like situation between institutions," he said, adding, that many things have almost been exposed and rest would be exposed in near future."Why PPP has not taken this decision before as earlier they even sacrificed Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani," he commented, viewing that Gilani was disqualified just to satisfy Zardari's egoistic approach. To a question, he said that PPP should now stop using delaying tactics as they were bound to write a letter. Next hearing September 25th is much important for the fate of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as Supreme Court has given deadline for it, he said.President Asif Ali Zardari has created confrontation between institutions just to satisfy his own ego. Zardari is playing all this game only to defend himself, he added.Having almost same remarks, another religio political party JUI-F appreciated the decision of ruling party-PPP to finally opt for writing a letter to concerned Swiss authorities. "At least uncertainty has been removed with this decision.“PPP can take this decision before to avoid disqualification of its former Prime Minister Gilani,” JUI-F spokesman Amjad Khan told TheNation.JUI-F had given this suggestion to ruling party-PPP to not make tussle like situation between institutions, he added. It is relevant here that Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has informed the Supreme Court that the government has decided to withdraw the letter written to the Swiss authorities by former Attorney General Abdul Qayyum.PM said the decision has been taken after reviewing all complexities of the case from different angles.
