Storekeepers warned over selling spurious drugs

LAKKI MARWAT - As a part of a campaign against fake medicines, the District Drug Inspector Malik Nasrullah Khan along with officials of anti-corruption establishment raided several medical stores in different parts of the district the other day.
Officials thoroughly checked the medical stores for spurious and unregistered medicines in Lakki, Naurang, Darra Pezu, Serai Gambila and Tajori towns. They collected samples of medicines and sent them to laboratory for chemical examination.
Officials warned on the occasion that they would seal the medial stores if the owners were found selling fake, unregistered and spurious medicines. “The drug sellers should refrain from selling expired and unwarranted medicines”, they said.
