Six vehicles torched

KARACHI – Miscreants torched six more vehicles during the protest against the attack on Hazara community in Quetta violence on the third consecutive day of sit-ins in various localities of the City.
The overall situation of the City was peaceful while violence was reported in few localities, including Lines Area near Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum, airport, Kharadar and Safora Chowrangi where miscreants set at least half dozen vehicles on fire.
Violence was also reported in Kharadar area where at least two protesters were wounded during a clash with the law enforcers. According to police, the incident took place when unidentified protesters resorted to firing. Police retaliated and resorted to aerial firing and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters. Following the incident, the protesters staged protest against the police action and claimed that their more than one dozen companions were picked up by the police.
They also demanded suspension of Kharadar SHO Idrees Bangash involved in the incident. Following the violent protest and oterh incidents, various localities were remain tense where intermittent firing was continued and commercial and non-commercial activities were suspended.
